School Psychologist

Ute Pass BOCES Position

This is a position that serves Woodland Park School District and Cripple Creek/Victor School District. Position qualifications include a master's degree as appropriate for endorsement, holding or being eligible to hold a Colorado License, and holding appropriate endorsement(s) and/or meeting North Central Association Accreditation Standards. Internships will be considered. Experience includes successful completion of or currently engaged in an internship assignment and previous experience in an education setting is desirable. Additional expectations include demonstrated knowledge of developmental needs of students, evidence of ability to establish and maintain effective cooperative relationships with school personnel, students and parents, and demonstrated understanding and empathy necessary for working with students.

Staff relationship includes a major relationship with the building principal/director of special education/assistant superintendent as the immediate supervisor. Positions directly supervised include none.

Key result areas and attendant responsibilities include professional responsibilities such as evaluating students' developmental, social and emotional needs and consulting with teachers and parents regarding those needs, collaborating with others to implement the district's philosophy, goals, and objectives, participating in professional growth opportunities, taking all reasonable precautions to protect students, materials and facilities, recognizing concerns and constructively contributing to their resolution, maintaining accurate, complete and correct records in an efficient and prompt manner as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation, encouraging educational programs and/or procedures to maximize learning through consultation at IEP meetings, RTI team meetings, parent conference, etc., using formal and informal methods to assess the abilities and needs of students and consult with staff regarding those methods, providing crisis intervention counseling and risk assessment as needed, providing ongoing counseling to students as assigned, and assisting with Child Find evaluations.

Terms of employment include a contract starting date of August 2026, 180 days, 1.0 FTE salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 commensurate with experience.
