Advanced Practice Provider – Inpatient Oncology (APP) Job Summary: Inpatient Oncology, responding clinician APP. Shifts are 13 hours (Day/Night rotation) with minimal night requirement. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care for oncology patients from admission to discharge in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds and collaboratively develop and implement care plans. Coordinate tests, consultations, and communicate with referring clinicians and consult services. Perform patient education and prepare patients for discharge. Support research initiatives & care for patients receiving first‑in‑human therapies as well as standard of care. Ideal Candidates Minimum 2 years of prior experience in an acute care/inpatient environment (RN or APP), with medicine, ICU or oncology experience highly desirable. Master’s degree in nursing with national certification in advanced practice nursing OR master’s degree in physician associate studies with certification by the NCCPA. Compensation & Benefits Remote type: Onsite. Work location: 267 Charles Street, Boston, MA. Pay range: $126,838.40 – $173,867.20 annual. Grade7. Nurse Practitioner (NP) Summary: The NP is a licensed provider responsible for assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. Essential Functions Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting. Performs complete histories and physical examinations. Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests. Develops appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. Consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries. Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population. Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures. Qualifications Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant required. Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN) – MA License; Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – MA License or Physician Assistant – MA License. Experience: Experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (0–1 year preferred). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skilled in taking medical histories, maintaining quality control standards, reacting calmly in emergency situations, interpreting and applying guidelines, and communicating clearly to establish effective working relationships.
