Advanced RN | Hematology/Oncology Clinic Specialist

Join a dedicated healthcare team providing compassionate and comprehensive care in a hematology/oncology clinic setting within the Midwest region. This role involves direct patient care and supportive activities under provider supervision, emphasizing safety and quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs, dress wounds, and perform basic nursing procedures including IV therapy as needed.
• Incorporate patient age and cultural diversity into care plans.
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Assist physicians during examinations and document patient information accurately.
• Collect and test samples such as urine, blood, and sputum; sterilize equipment and maintain clinic supplies.
• Respond to patient inquiries, follow up on missed appointments and lab results, and coordinate referrals and prior authorizations with insurance providers.

Education

Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse (RN) program is required.

Experience

Previous clinical experience is preferred, especially in a medical center or hospital environment.

Licenses and Certifications

Current RN licensure in the relevant state is required. Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification is preferred or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
