Key Responsibilities

• Staff a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit in a fast-paced acute care environment near the Emergency Department
• Provide care for a range of patients including medical beds, trauma overflow, and mid-holds with varying acuity levels
• Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs within the observation unit
• Float to other areas of competency as needed
• Adhere to holiday staffing expectations as part of the role

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or a comparable specialty within an acute care setting
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
• Experience working in or adjacent to an Emergency Department or observation unit setting
• Comfort managing patients across a spectrum of acuity levels
