Details Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric populations Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Care for a wide range of ER presentations including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, central line care, procedural sedation, and 12-lead EKG interpretation Cerner charting experience preferred Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required; NIHSS and NRP preferred Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required in a similarly sized facility, with 5-8 years preferred Level II or III trauma experience required Recent ER travel experience within the past 6-8 months preferred Skilled in managing dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, and administering IV vasopressors and emergency medications Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage required Onsite drug screen required including marijuana; any positive result results in automatic cancellation Additional Information Provide emergency care across a broad range of adult and pediatric conditions, including trauma, respiratory distress, psychiatric crises, and neurological emergencies Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted RTO must be submitted with application and some holiday coverage is expected Pending license accepted at time of consideration but must be active before start date Candidates should avoid substances that could result in a positive drug screen upon arrival, including CBD products American Traveler Job ID P-743541.
