RN Lead Outpatient GI Lab- Full Time - Days

Job Description:

PURPOSE OF JOB:. Under the supervision of the Clinical Administrator of GI, leads the day to day activities of Inpatient GI (GI) associates, facilitates orientation, competency and continuing education in conjunction with providing nursing care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Plans and oversees the daily activities of the Out-patient GI area Ensures

orientation, competencies and continuing education of the Out-patient GI

Associates

Communicates and collaborates with patients, physicians, family memember and other health care disciplines in order to achieve excellence in patient care during their stay

3. Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality

initiatives and goals

4. Provides nursing care in a manner that promotes quality and patient safety

5. Maintains clinical competency according to unit specific standards

.

Job Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BSN required, MSN preferred

Current licensure in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

Experience: At least 5 years nursing experience with 2 of those in GI and management experience preferred. Must have experience with conscious sedation.

D. Other Certifications: BLS for Healthcare providers

ACLS

E. Other Skills: Computer skills with EMR and Microsoft Products

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

Able to multitask
