Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered - PEDS (Pediatrics) in an acute care healthcare facility location. This position involves providing advanced respiratory care and procedures for pediatric patients, including airway management, ventilator management, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and other respiratory procedures. This role requires independent functioning and serves as a resource to other staff members.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC); graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures; ability to document clinical information; recent experience in Pediatrics, PICU, or NICU; oscillatory ventilator experience within the last 5 years; experience with Epic; ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff; proficiency in mathematical reasoning and technical interpretation
• Ability to perform airway management, mechanical ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy
• Ability to perform advanced procedures such as UVC, UAC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABG analysis, blood glucose monitoring, and ECMO management
• Ability to setup, monitor, and wean ventilators
• Recent clinical experience in the specialty is required
