Position TitleMRI Team LeadEvenings - Full TimeBell HospitalPosition Summary / Career Interest:Shift: Evenings - Mon. - Fri. - 1pm - 9:30pm The MRI Team Lead is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the MRI Department. This includes the oversight of all technical, operational, and personnel related aspects of patient care, and overseeing MRI safety operations for all MRI areas within the Health System. The MRI Team Lead also provides patient care consistent with the responsibilities of the MRI technologist role.Responsibilities and Essential Job FunctionsAssists the supervisor and leadership with oversight of MRI personnel and daily operations, including patient and staff schedules, equipment issues/maintenance, etc.Performs direct patient care as required to meet patient care needs.Competent in all MRI proceduresAssists staff with personal growth and improvement and provides opportunities for engagement in new procedures, leadership, or personal developmentEnsures efficiency, organization, and safety of daily operations and equipment useParticipates in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and/or meetings with leadershipReports organizational, personnel, and/or equipment issues to leadershipPossesses a high-level knowledge of all departmental policies and procedures and participates in review/updates of policies relating to MRI safetyEffectively and professionally interacts and collaborates with various departments to coordinate patient care, including physicians, nurses, schedulers, anesthesia, and cardiologyTroubleshoots equipment problems and coordinates service repairs with vendors when neededMust be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned as required.Required Education and ExperienceCertificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology1 or more years to 3 years experience in MRI3 or more years of proven technical competence and expanding leadership accountability in a mid to large size hospital with credible volumes.Preferred Education and ExperienceBachelors Degree related to technical or managerial performance requirementsExperience in an academic healthcare settingRequired Licensure and CertificationMagnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS or BCLS) - American Heart Association (AHA)Valid, unrestricted driver’s license, Kansas Class C or equivalent. MVR results must be in compliance with Health System Safe Driving Program Policy.
