The Shop Foreman at Sun State Ford plays a vital role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the service department. The Shop Foreman is a key member of the service leadership team.

Supervision:

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of automotive technicians and service advisors.
• Assign work orders and responsibilities to technicians based on their skills and expertise.
• Monitor technician productivity and efficiency, making adjustments as needed to meet service goals.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all vehicle repairs and maintenance services meet or exceed dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
• Perform quality checks on completed work to verify accuracy and thoroughness.
• Address any issues or concerns related to the quality of repairs promptly.

Technical Support:

• Assist technicians in diagnosing complex vehicle issues and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technical service bulletins, and manufacturer recalls.

Workflow Management:

• Prioritize repair orders based on urgency and customer needs.
• Coordinate with service advisors to provide accurate repair estimates and time frames.
• Monitor the progress of repair orders to ensure timely completion.
• Address any delays or issues that may affect service efficiency.

Customer Satisfaction:

• Interact with customers as needed to address questions or concerns related to vehicle service.
