Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0630 - 1700 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience required License: Current RN state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Stroke Certification required Must-Have: - Advanced Dysrhythmia Interpretation EKG Test - Cardiac Cath Lab RN Skills Assessment - Cardiac Cath Lab RN Testing - Cardiac Cath Lab Medication Testing - Moderate Conscious Sedation Testing - Unit Knowledge Exam - Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Exam - Medication Safety Exam Description: The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in the Cath Lab. Responsibilities will include assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after procedures. The nurse will collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. They will also prioritize patient comfort and safety during interventions. The position requires participation in ongoing education and competency validation. Each RN is responsible for adhering to all health and safety regulations. The nurse must maintain current certifications and participate in skills assessments as required. Effective communication with patients and team members is essential. A thorough understanding of cardiac procedures and appropriate interventions is necessary for this role. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
