Lease Accountant
Location : Birmingham, AL (Onsite)


Our client is hiring a Lease Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will play a big part in managing lease-related financial activity, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support accurate reporting.


Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for accurate accounting, reporting and compliance of lease-related transactions across the organization.
• Review and analyze lease agreements to ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Maintain lease schedules, including amortization and payment tracking.
• Ensure accurate reporting of rent, taxes, insurance and other occupancy costs.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations relate to lease accounts.
• Support month end and year end close processes, including variance analysis and reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests related to least accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience in a multi-entity or corporate environment
