Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for assignment in Tucson, Arizona. The selected candidate will perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance, repair of equipment, instruments, processes and support systems of a Central Utility Plant on an assigned shift.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair critical facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
- Inspect, maintain and repair motors, pumps, valves and related mechanical systems
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve system reliability and extend equipment life
- Maintain accurate work orders and asset data in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Perform skilled mechanical repairs on plant systems and supporting infrastructure
- Conduct brazing, soldering and welding as needed on plant and facility systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches and specifications
- Install new equipment and interpret wiring diagrams, codes and technical documentation
- Safely operate aerial lifts, scaffolding, forklifts and other mobile equipment
- Participate in meetings and training sessions as required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- 5+ years experience in industrial maintenance (engines, pumps, valves), pipefitting or welding
- An understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety standards
