Position: Phlebotomist Location: De Pere WI Schedule: Mon - Fri. 8:30am - 5:30pm Projected duration: 3 months + potential for perm Job code: CVDJP00035820 Benefits are available pay rate - $20 to $22 per hour depending on experience Minimum 2 years of experience required for pediatric and adult experience.Summary: The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, trouble shooting, training and making work flow recommendations.Position Responsibilities:Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontaminationUpdating patient informationCollects and stores specimens according to established proceduresProperly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as requiredDemonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needlesFully understand all of the physicians' ordersMatches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubesLabel, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orderCheck all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correctPackage specimens for transportStores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in High School Diploma or GED
