Sr. IT Project Manager

Role Description

Responsible for leading activities of the project team independently. Identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. Coordinates the activities of the team by becoming familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Leads project teams and coaches the development of other Project Managers. Implements complex large/multiple projects, including:

• Leading and managing the All of Us Research Program’s Researcher Workbench Support and Training program, including direct supervision of some staff members.
• Providing similar support program leadership at a smaller scale for other biomedical research programs on an as-needed basis.

This position will work normal business hours Monday – Friday and offers the opportunity to work remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working on large biomedical research programs
• Experience working with cloud-based systems
• Experience developing and managing educational and/or researcher-facing technical instructional materials or content
• Great comprehension and understanding of data science and analysis principles

Requirements

• Coordinates and oversees all phases of the project, including end-to-end management of support-and-training program operations, deliverables, timelines, and service quality.
• Ensures timely completion of tasks in line with project objectives.
• Develops and maintains team workplans, schedules, and staffing coverage to meet support expectations.
• Provides researcher-facing and stakeholder-facing support through structured intake, triage, and communications.
• Develops, implements, and maintains team plans and SOPs for triaging technical and administrative support questions.
• Oversees creation, publication, and ongoing updates of online training guides and instructional content.
• Establishes escalation pathways and coordinates with engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
