Phlebotomist III - Floater

Job TitlePay Range: $17.55hr - $22.55hrRequirement/Must Have:High school diploma or equivalent.Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).Five years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.Keyboard/data entry experience.Must be able to step in and lead one or more staff members on site.Required to act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees.Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.Responsibilities:Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.Provide coverage at multiple locations for multiple roles.Ensure that daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, or In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and on time.Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality.Direct daily activity in a doctor’s office, patient service center, house call environment, or long term care as business needs dictate.Provide effective onboarding services to new clients.Act as point of contact to staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor.Work with customers who have a high complexity or volume practice requiring outstanding phlebotomy skills.Handle customer-facing tasks including verbal and written communications, problem solving, and collaboration with multiple functions such as Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics.Skills:Phlebotomy.Pediatric collections.Geriatric collections.Capillary collections.Data entry.Customer service.Leadership.Mentoring.Problem solving.
