You’ll be: Wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies per customer requirements. Reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material. Completing point-to-point wiring and installing a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, and more. Drilling, tapping, deburring, grinding, and sawing to prepare panel enclosures and mounting surfaces. Installing finished assemblies or subassemblies into cases and cabinets. Using a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Red-lining documentation to initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Operating hand pallet jacks to move material within the plant. Training and mentoring junior members of the team and taking the lead on customer projects. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment and following all safety procedures. This Job Might Be An Outstanding Fit If You Have a high school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate in Electrical Controls is preferred. Bring at least 4 years of experience in control panel building, wiring, and reading schematics/electrical diagrams. Possess strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical currents. Demonstrate proficiency with hand tools for drilling, tapping, and assembly. Are highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Are physically able to frequently lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods. Understand and follow safety requirements in a manufacturing environment, including wearing PPE such as safety shoes, glasses, hearing protectors, and hardhats. Have emerging computer literacy and basic mathematical skills relevant to production and engineering concepts.
