RN Emergency Room | Gray, Georgia

This contract opportunity calls for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong emergency background, eager to provide critical care in a busy, fast-paced ED averaging 85 patients per day. The unit is equipped with excellent support staff, advanced technology, and offers a great team culture.


Schedule:

• Contract position
• Orientation includes one day of facility and unit orientation plus two days of departmental training

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an ED RN
• Active RN license in Georgia
• BLS, Basic Cardiac Rhythm, and ACLS required
• PALS and TNCC preferred
• Emergency nursing national certification preferred
• Proficient in drip management for Heparin, Insulin, Cardene, Dopamine, Epinephrine, Fentanyl, Propofol, Levophed
• Capable of reading telemetry strips (central monitoring)
• EMR experience-Epic preferred
• Willing to float within the ER and potentially to nearby locations
• Comfortable drawing labs, inserting IVs, and using advanced unit-specific equipment
• Open to both experienced clinicians and first-time travelers

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality emergency care for diverse conditions such as chest pain, stroke, diabetes, trauma, mental health, and hypertension
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3-4, depending on zone assignment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including charge nurses, CNAs, hospitalists, and intensivists
• Efficient, accurate documentation and communication via Epic
• Utilize critical care equipment, including telemetry monitors, IV pumps, and rapid infusers
• Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, solution-focused team environment
• Participate in educational modules and department-specific training
