Production Manager

Operations & Production Manager Location: Tukwila, Washington Reports To: Founder & Managing Director The Operations & Production Manager oversees food production, quality assurance, inventory, purchasing, food safety, production staff, farmers market operations, online sales fulfillment, and distribution logistics. This role ensures products are produced, distributed, and presented efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Production Operations Plan and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. Coordinate preparation, packaging, freezing, storage, and distribution of products. Ensure production targets are met while minimizing waste. Maintain consistency in recipes, portioning, and product quality. Farmers Market Operations Plan production based on farmers market demand and seasonal trends. Prepare inventory, equipment, tents, signage, and supplies for each market. Coordinate transportation, loading, and unloading. Supervise farmers market staff and ensure excellent customer service. Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment. Ensure booths are clean and aligned with the Amara Kitchen brand. Track sales, inventory, and customer feedback. Support new market launches and special events. Online Sales & Distribution Operations Coordinate daily fulfillment of online orders. Manage inventory across retail, farmers markets, catering, wholesale, and online channels. Coordinate with distribution and logistics partners to ensure timely deliveries. Monitor shipping schedules and resolve fulfillment issues. Forecast demand with the sales and marketing team. Maintain accurate inventory records across all sales channels. Develop SOPs for fulfillment and distribution. Track order accuracy, fulfillment times, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction. Coordinate replenishment for retail and distribution partners. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Quality Assurance & Food Safety Ensure compliance with FDA, WSDA, and local health regulations. Maintain sanitation procedures, temperature logs, and production records. Conduct routine quality inspections. Inventory & Purchasing Manage ingredients, packaging, and supply inventory. Forecast purchasing needs and coordinate supplier orders. Team Leadership Lead and train production staff and farmers market team members. Prepare work schedules and monitor employee performance. Promote a positive, accountable workplace culture. Qualifications 3+ years of food production or operations management experience. Knowledge of food safety regulations. Experience with retail, catering, e-commerce fulfillment, logistics, or farmers markets preferred. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to work weekends and lift up to 50 lbs.
