Job Title: Barista Job Summary: Responsible for making quality beverages, preparing food orders, working the cash register, and cleaning and stocking the store. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and other beverages
- Take customer orders accurately and handle payments (cash, card, POS systems)
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and seating areas
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely
- Follow recipes and presentation standards for drinks and food items
- Restock supplies (cups, milk, syrups, etc.)
- Provide friendly, efficient customer service and handle complaints professionally
- Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques (espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc.)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Teamwork and time-management skills
- Basic math skills for handling transactions
- Previous experience in food service or coffee shop
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of specialty coffee or latte art (a plus)
- Standing for long periods
- Early morning, evening, weekend, or holiday shifts
- Fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
