Registered Nurse Behavioral Health

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Behavioral Health for a night shift position. This contract spans 13 weeks. The nurse will work 12-hour shifts overnight. Nurse-to-patient ratios will be maintained at 6:1. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The daily census for the unit is 13 patients. The unit consists of 18 beds. Nursing responsibilities will include crisis intervention, medication administration, and patient assessment. Experience in managing psychiatric disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and psychosis is essential. The nurse will participate in de-escalation techniques and behavior management strategies. Special procedures may include Q 15-minute rounding on all patients and use of seclusion protocols. Additional interdisciplinary support will be available from various healthcare teams. Education related to ligature cutter use and wrist restraint will be provided. Candidates will be expected to adhere to facility policies and maintain a smoke and nicotine-free environment. Travelers are encouraged to minimize requests for time off during the assignment. Please have proof of licensure and relevant certifications readily available.
