A&P MECHANIC (ALL LEVELS)

We are currently seeking certified A&P Mechanics at several experience levels to join our team. A&P Technicians will be based out of Rocket Lab's Space Structures Complex in Middle River, MD. The A&P Technicians will play a crucial part in build and assembly of Neutron launch vehicle components, will also play a key role in the refurbishment of previously flown launch vehicles.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:

Uphold shop cleanliness and organization Integration of Mechanical Hardware NOTE: This requisition can be hired at a Mechanic Level I, II, III OR Senior YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS AN A&P MECHANIC I: High School Diploma or GED and experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, mechanical maintenance or similar in a highly regulated manufacturing or maintenance A&P License or r elevant Military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance . Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools A&P Certification or Military Equivalent YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS AN A&P MECHANIC II: High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, mechanical maintenance or similar in a highly regulated manufacturing or maintenance A&P License or r elevant Military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance. . Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools A&P Certification or Military Equivalent YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A A&P MECHANIC III: High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, mechanical maintenance or similar in a highly regulated manufacturing or maintenance A&P License or r elevant Military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance. Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools A&P Certification or Military Equivalent YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS AS A SENIOR A&P MECHANIC: High School Diploma or GED with 8+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, technical repair, mechanical maintenance or similar in a highly regulated manufacturing or maintenance A&P License or r elevant Military experience in fixed or rotor wing maintenance. Familiarity with hand, power, pneumatic, and inspection tools A&P Certification or Military Equivalent

THESE QUALIFICATION WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

2+ years experience in new space or aerospace industry Depot level mechanic work on aircraft Military field experience is a significant advantage Experience with scheduled maintenance at the C&D check level

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Stand and walk for entire shift (8+ hours) on various work surfaces Climb ladders and work at elevated heightsmallspaces, awkward positions, and tight areas as needed Perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and stooping Use hands with precision to handle, control, andoperatetools, instruments, and equipment Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 25 lbs. Work in varied environments including production floors, equipment areas, and field locations with exposure to noise, temperature variations, and moving machinery Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and varied shifts as operational needs require Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
