About the Role

Matterport is hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own our positioning and go-to-market for commercial real estate and new home construction. Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing, you will carry the two industries closest to how buildings get built and how they get sold.

Commercial real estate is the anchor. It is the largest market we serve and the one with the deepest connection to CoStar Group. Owners, operators, asset managers, and brokerages each buy for different reasons, and defining those audiences distinctly is the first order of work.

New home construction is the natural adjacency. Homebuilders, developers, and residential contractors buy for reasons that overlap with both property marketing and construction documentation, and the positioning is still being shaped. There is room here for someone with a point of view.

One boundary worth being clear about before you apply. The Director of Product Marketing owns the partnership strategy with CoStar Group's marketplaces, including LoopNet on the commercial side. You own the industry marketing that runs through it: the buyer research, the positioning, the proof, and the material Sales carries into the room. Some themes cut across the whole portfolio rather than belonging to one industry, facilities management among them, and you will work those with the rest of the team rather than building them alone.

We are looking for someone who is genuinely of this industry, not adjacent to it. You should be able to sit with a head of asset management or a developer and be taken as a peer inside the first ten minutes.

This position is located in Arlington, Virginia and is in office Monday through Friday.

What You Will Do

Own Positioning and Go-to-Market

• Own positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for commercial real estate and new home construction.

• Build a differentiated point of view for each, grounded in what those buyers are actually trying to accomplish.

• Define the commercial real estate audiences distinctly. Owners, operators, asset managers, and brokerages are different buyers and need different messages.

• Execute the commercial marketing plan that supports our LoopNet relationship, working to the strategy the Director sets.

• Sequence the portfolio honestly. Decide what gets depth this quarter and what gets maintained, and make the case for that choice.

Know the Buyer Better Than Anyone Here

• Talk to customers and prospects directly and regularly. Bring back what you heard, including the parts that contradict our current story.

• Maintain a working understanding of how these industries buy, who signs, what a budget cycle looks like, and where we lose.

• Track competitors in your industries and translate what you learn into positioning and product feedback.

• Represent Matterport credibly at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings in your markets.

Arm the Field

• Build the material Sales uses in real conversations: industry narratives, discovery guidance, competitive positioning, and customer proof.

• Work directly with account executives and sales leadership, and revise what is not landing.

• Develop customer stories and references that carry weight with the specific buyers you serve.

• Support Demand Generation with the messaging and offers behind campaigns in your industries.

Own the Numbers

• Carry accountability for how your industries convert, particularly the movement from engaged buyer to qualified opportunity.

• Carry accountability for deal value as well as volume, with positioning aimed at enterprise-scale buyers.

• Report on the performance of your industries with a clear view of what is working and what you are changing.

Work with AI

• Use AI in your own workflow for buyer research, competitive monitoring, and content production, and share what works with the team.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.

• 8+ years of career experience and 6+ years in B2B product marketing, industry marketing, or vertical marketing, including at least three years marketing to a defined industry audience rather than to a product category.

• Direct experience marketing to the commercial real estate industry. This could be owners and operators, asset or property management, brokerages, CRE data and analytics, or technology sold into that industry. This is the anchor requirement for the role and we will test for it in interview.

• A working understanding of how commercial property gets bought, financed, leased, and managed, and who holds budget at each stage.

• Demonstrated ability to build positioning from first-hand buyer conversations rather than from product documentation.

• A record of producing sales material the field actually used, and the judgment to know the difference.

• Funnel literacy. You can describe how your work changed conversion or pipeline, with numbers.

• Excellent writing. A large share of this job is deciding what to say and saying it well.

• Comfort carrying more than one industry at a time, with the discipline to sequence rather than spread thin.

• Practical AI fluency in your own working process.

• A track record of commitment to prior employers.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Experience marketing to homebuilders, developers, or residential construction.

• Experience marketing to AEC audiences, or to construction and capital projects.

• Experience working alongside a commercial real estate marketplace, listings platform, or data provider.

• Familiarity with facilities management, property operations, or building lifecycle audiences.

• Enterprise B2B SaaS experience with a direct sales force.

• Familiarity with 3D capture, imaging, spatial data, or visualization technology.

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.

Base Compensation: $134,000-$182,000 Annually
