Education Assistance: Tuition reimbursement and continuous learning opportunities to support your professional growth.Position Objective:Obtain and record financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing the following duties.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Perform and manage monthly financial reporting and analysisComplete tax related reportingPerform budget to actual reviews of monthly departmental financial statements, including explanation and documentation of all financial statement variancesCoordinate responsibilities related to internal and external auditsPerform monthly financial close and account reconciliationsLoad monthly financial statements to BPCAssist in account analysis for internal and external reporting requirementsAssist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and long-term financial plansPrepare forecast model of key balance sheet accountsPrepare monthly department variance reportingPartner with department managers in reviewing variance reporting and preparing operational forecastsComplete data requests from other Nidec business units and/or departmentsComplete annual tax workpapers for corporate tax accountingAssist the Controller with periodic reporting requirements and analytical supportMay perform other projects and accounting duties as assignedComplete monthly, quarterly, annual government mandated reportingPhysical inventory & fixed asset review planningPeriodic Oracle testingExperience/Skills:Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRSSolid understanding of financial statementsWorking knowledge of sales and use tax preferred including refund and reportingPayroll knowledge preferredExperience in a manufacturing environment preferredExperience with Oracle software a plusExcellent MS Office skills, including advanced Excel skillsExperience developing process flow documentation preferredSelf-motivated, proactive, flexibleSkilled at optimizing work processesSkilled at managing multiple projects, setting priorities and meeting tight deadlinesStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and thoroughnessStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication, team/relationship building, collaboration skillsStrong ethics and integrityEducation:Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years related experienceCPA/CMA preferredAdditional Job DetailsCHECK US OUT ON YOUTUBE: Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
