Clear Global Solutions(CGS) is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support federal facilities and environmental compliance programs. The Environmental Engineer will support sustainability programs, remediation projects, and compliance monitoring efforts while helping ensure alignment with federal, state, and local regulations, executive orders, agency programs, and applicable international standards. The Environmental Specialist will provide environmental planning and project coordination for department, work group, or project(s) to the General Services Administration (GSA).

Responsibilities

• Act as an Subject Matter Expert while supporting federal and government facilities
• Review contractor work products for completeness, correctness, and regulatory compliance
• Prepare scopes of work and task orders for environmental program development and implementation
• Prepare reports and interface with GSA Central Office and state and federal environmental agencies regarding compliance requirements and internal programs
• Develop and implement plans to monitor compliance with GSA, federal, state, and local environmental programs and regulations
• Organize, plan, develop, and implement environmental plans and projects, including training, reporting, and program updates
• Coordinate project schedules and support program development, metrics tracking, and continuous improvement
• Coordinate project schedules and support GSA in program development, metrics tracking, and program improvement
• Prepare and review environmental reports, permits, and documentation
• Support environmental investigations, remediation, and compliance projects
• Develop scopes of work and cost estimates for environmental projects
• Review contractor work products for quality and regulatory compliance
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance
• Conduct site inspections and environmental assessments
• Analyze data and perform quality control checks
• Support hazardous waste management, mitigation, and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and government stakeholders
• Track environmental metrics and support reporting requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experienced required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field
• Experience supporting environmental compliance, remediation, or engineering projects
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards
• Ability to analyze data and prepare technical documentation
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
• Combination of office and fieldwork
• May require site visits, inspections, and travel across facilities
• Exposure to environmental and industrial site conditions
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance (Secret / Top Secret / Public Trust)
• Employment is contingent upon successful background investigation and PIV card issuance

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g. CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, NPDES)
• Experience with environmental data systems or GIS tools
• Experience managing or supporting multi-site projects
