Job Title: Foreign Quality Project Specialist (Automotive Plastic Interior Parts)
Job Overview:
Responsible for the quality management and project coordination of automotive plastic interior parts (e.g., dashboards, door trims, center consoles) in overseas markets. Ensure compliance with international quality standards, customer requirements, and internal quality systems throughout the product lifecycle, from development to mass production.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement quality plans, inspection criteria, and test procedures for overseas automotive plastic interior part projects, aligned with ISO/TS 16949, customer-specific requirements (e.g., VW 60950, GM QS 9000), and product design specifications.
Lead cross-border quality communication and coordination with overseas customers, including responding to quality inquiries, handling customer complaints, and organizing joint quality reviews to ensure customer satisfaction.
Conduct supplier quality management for overseas and domestic suppliers of plastic materials, molds, and finished parts: perform supplier quality audits, provide quality technical guidance, and track corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
Participate in the new product development (NPD) process for overseas projects: conduct design reviews, prototype quality testing, and process validation (e.g., APQP, PPAP submission) to identify and mitigate potential quality risks in advance.
Investigate and analyze quality non-conformities (e.g., material defects, dimensional deviations, surface flaws) in overseas shipments or production processes, using 8D, 5Why, or other problem-solving tools to implement effective corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, production, procurement, logistics) to align quality requirements across departments, resolve cross-functional quality issues, and ensure smooth execution of overseas quality projects.
Compile and maintain quality documentation for overseas projects, including quality reports, inspection records, supplier audit reports, and CAPA documents, to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Monitor and improve key quality indicators (KQIs) for overseas projects (e.g., first-pass yield, customer return rate, non-conformity rate) and propose continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality performance.
Support overseas market expansion by providing quality technical support, participating in international trade shows, and assisting in the qualification of new overseas customers.
Key Requirements (Supplementary for Reference):
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
3+ years of experience in quality management or project coordination for automotive plastic interior parts, with overseas market (e.g., Europe, North America, Southeast Asia) experience preferred.
Proficiency in international automotive quality standards (ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949) and quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) for cross-border coordination with overseas customers and teams.
Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced international project environment.
