Utility Arborist Looking for candidates located in the following Illinois areas: Libertyville, Lombard, Evanston, Chicago, Rockford, Joliet, Crestwood, and Bolingbrook. Job Type: Full Time Compensation: $20/hr - $34/hr Job Overview This role is responsible for planning, scheduling and auditing vegetation management work within assigned programs to ensure projects are completed safely, effectively within the required specifications and on time. This is a field role primarily working outdoors, requiring the use of a company vehicle. Responsibilities Conduct field assessments and develop trimming/removal plans Collaborate with utility stakeholders on work prioritization Update and maintain GIS/work management systems Conduct post-work audits Track discrepancies and noncompliance trends Interface and monitor crews Responsible for or participate in interruption investigations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred 1–7 years of relevant experience in vegetation management, vegetation planning, or utility field work ISA Certification required for mid- to senior-level roles TRAQ certification preferred for all roles ISA Certification preferred for entry-level or junior roles (must be eligible for certification within 1-2 years) Physical Demands, Conditions, Work Environment The physical demands, conditions, work environment characteristics described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Walk, stand, sit, and operate a motor vehicle for prolonged periods of time; Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, run, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties; Carry, push and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (5 to 10 lbs.); Operate assigned equipment and vehicles; Verbal communicate to exchange information with public; See and hear in normal range with or without correction; Operate assigned field equipment, including handheld computer, range finder, water backpack, shovel, and traffic cone.
