We’re recruiting for an Accountant position with a premier financial service organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role is 40 hours per week. Schedule is flexible with start dates between 7 am and 9 am. The team consists of 13 accountants and the new hire will help complete a large company-wide project. This role is performed in‑office on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and from home on Wednesday and Friday. Responsibilities Perform financial accounting functions and related control activities for assigned products and processes to ensure conformance with statutory accounting standards. Maintain accuracy of accounting generated by multiple systems as well as manual entries. Research and resolve reconciliation issues, imbalances and open suspense items. Participate in monthly close processes and the processing of journal entries, reconciliations and other analyses. Assist in a large-scale corporate project that requires creation of new accounts, reports and processes, including testing of system changes and their impact on accounting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. Technologically savvy with proficiency in Excel for maintaining and manipulating worksheets accurately. Proficient in Outlook for email and calendaring. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while working in a dynamic environment.
