Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position at a small acute care facility in Northern New Mexico, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PACU experience and a valid NM or Compact RN license.

Details

• Located on the 3rd floor of a 47-bed acute care facility serving as a major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
• PACU/Preop unit with 3 beds and a shared role between PACU and Preop
• Primarily adult patient population with ENT cases occurring approximately once a month
• Common cases include appendectomies and cholecystectomies (gallbladder)
• Patient ratios are 1:1 or 1:2
• Day shift hours: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, with some on-call coverage for nights and weekends
• On-call requirement: must be on-site within 30 minutes of case notification
• This is a shared position with Preop; no additional float expectations beyond that unit
• EMR systems used: CQI and Medhost

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
• Preop experience is preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Open-toed shoes and artificial fingernails are not permitted
