Responsibilities Directly support accurate receiving, distribution, and transportation of medical materials. Manage daily movement of patient items—including specimens, pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, and inter‑clinic mail—while upholding professionalism, safety, and productivity standards. Resolve material delays, collaborate on solutions, and monitor requests in the tracking system. Participate in projects, new employee training, and handle incoming calls for specimen delivery. Work varied hours, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Two years of hospital, customer service, or business‑related experience preferred. Valid MN driver’s license with an excellent driving record. Computer and problem‑solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and database programs. Strong communication, human‑relation, and independent work abilities. Capacity to handle unpredictable, stressful situations with calmness and initiative. Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and walk >12 miles daily. Limited tenure of approximately 24 months (details listed below). Limited Tenure Details Regular employee status during tenure; employment terminates at end date. Must remain until end of tenure (~24 months) before eligible to transfer. After tenure, must secure another role within Mayo or employment ends.
