HR Generalist (Hybrid)

$28 - $34.62 per hour

Job Description In this role, you’ll serve as a frontline HR partner supporting employees and leaders with day‑to‑day people needs while helping bring our broader HR strategy to life. You’ll balance employee‑facing support with behind‑the‑scenes coordination, ensuring HR processes run smoothly, data stays accurate, and our people feel supported every step of the way. Your work directly contributes to a positive employee experience and helps our business operate with clarity, consistency, and care. A day in the office looks like this Provide responsive, high‑quality frontline support to employees and managers on HR policies, benefits, leaves of absence, and general employee inquiries Partner closely with the Sr. HRBP to support department priorities and implement HR strategies aligned to business needs Serve as a liaison between employees and HR Centers of Excellence to ensure timely resolution and a seamless employee experience Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure smooth transitions and a positive first and last impression Support employee relations matters by providing policy guidance, documentation support, and performance coaching resources Maintain accurate org charts, rosters, and employee data; process associate changes efficiently and with attention to detail Track and analyze HR data including staffing, turnover, retention, and exit interview insights to support talent discussions Assist with the planning and execution of HR initiatives such as performance management and succession planning Support time‑sensitive projects and ad hoc HR initiatives as business needs evolve Qualifications Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for: Required Bachelor’s degree 1–4 years of relevant experience, with professional HR experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of fundamental HR practices, including California employment law, employee relations, performance management, and compensation Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build trust and relationships at all levels Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office; comfort working with data and spreadsheets Ability to work onsite at our Carson, CA campus three days per week Preferred HR certification such as SHRM, aPHR, or PHR Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and an interest in data analysis What sets you apart You bring high emotional intelligence and sound judgment to every interaction You’re highly organized, detail‑oriented, and known for strong follow‑through You anticipate obstacles, communicate proactively, and know when to elevate You thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment while remaining collaborative You enjoy helping others succeed and take pride in delivering great service Additional Information At Lakeshore, we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties. For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at an hourly rate between $28–$34.62 depending on relevant experience & skillset. This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidate's relevant experience, location, and skillset.
