VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville exists to honor America's Veterans by providing exceptional healthcare that improves their health and well-beingRequirents:Must have an Associates or Bachelor's degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited Nursing program.Must have a current and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of ColumbiaMust have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by a provider recognized by the American Heart Association.RNs must have a minimum of one-year experience in the clinical areas of intended assignmentTerm:This task order is effective from the effective date of award through 90 days, and any option periods to extend servicesSchedule:Primary Care: 2 RNs will be scheduled on the day shift (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), Monday-Friday.Responsibilities:Assess and act on significant changes in the patient's health conditionPerform assigned delegated tasksCollect and document pertinent data into the electronic systemCommunicates and treats all patients and/or families in a courteous, tactful, and respectful mannerIdentify and act on predictable needs of the patientMeet the health care needs of patient by assessing and assisting the patient to meet expressed needsMeet the emotional and spiritual needs of patients and/or familiesPrioritize and complete tasks within the RN's assigned shiftNotify assigned provider of any changes in condition and update patient care plansReport incidents of verbal or physical abuse immediately to the Nurse Manager of the unit they are assignedAdminister medication including IVs in the event of an emergencyMeasure vital signs in the event of an emergencyObtain and deliver specimens to labEducate patients and/or families regarding vaccinesActivate the Emergency Medical Response as indicated based on patient presentation or change in conditionRespond and assist in an emergency situationPerform Continuous Protective Observation (CPO) duties to maintain patient safetyProvide clinical oversight to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Health TechniciansKurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
