Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and creating customized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic conditions in collaboration with physicians or independently as per your credentials
• Providing guidance to patients and their families on health maintenance, prevention strategies, and chronic illness management
• Prescribing medications and treatment options within your scope of practice
• Engaging in continuous patient follow-up and chronic condition management

• Maintaining accurate and detailed records within electronic medical systems (EMR)

Education Essentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program

Needed Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in California
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or area of specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire these within 90 days)
