Water Resources EngineerIn this critical role, you won't just be reviewing plans—you will be a key player in safeguarding our state's water resources. Salary depends on the job level offered within the series.Minimum QualificationsThe ideal candidate has 0 to 15 years of engineering practice with increasing degrees of responsibility involving wastewater process technology analysis, design and specification.Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.At a minimum a candidate must hold an Engineer in training (EIT) certificate demonstrating passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.Technical expertise in all aspects of wastewater treatment systems analysis, design, and permit delivery.Strong knowledge of physicochemical and biological wastewater treatment process fundamentals and resource recovery principles.Direct experience developing or implementing wastewater treatability analysis, developing process models, analyzing process alternatives, and working with designers to prepare engineering plans, and specifications for treatment works and sewerage systems.Strong project management skills and an ability to manage multiple projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred QualificationsMaster of Science or Engineering with emphasis in wastewater treatment process design.Preference may also be given to those with a Utah Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain the license within 12 months.Professional Engineer/Register Engineer license in Civil, Sanitary, Chemical, Environmental or related disciplines.In Utah, we believe hard work is important, but balance is essential.
