Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary Perform maintenance on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and auxiliary equipment used in manufacturing and processing. Operate machines to repair or fabricate new parts, including cutting and welding equipment. Unload, move, install equipment, and operate forklifts and company vehicles. Record maintenance work performed and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings. Work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor. Duties & Responsibilities Move material as requested, maintaining quality of work. Clean and maintain equipment, perform general housekeeping and 6S activities. Read, comprehend, and apply processes and required procedures. Perform work safely, following all health, safety and environmental rules and policies. Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to next management level. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and company regulations. Assist with or supervise staff, ensuring they follow company guidelines and have necessary resources. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience and Education High school education or equivalent. Broad knowledge of mechanical equipment, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, construction, PLCs, and groundskeeping. Four-year accredited apprenticeship or eight or more years of diversified industrial maintenance experience. Ability to read, understand and apply relevant codes, including electrical codes and safety practices. Must obtain and maintain forklift operator accreditation. Hourly Rate $44.67 per hour. Required Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
