Simulation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Simulation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate is responsible for developing, modifying, and presenting simulation models for automotive unibody processes using tools like PlantSim or Simul8 to support manufacturing optimization and decision-making.

Rate Range: $50/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Simulation Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop, modify, and validate simulation models using PlantSim or Simul8 to support automotive unibody manufacturing processes.
• Analyze existing simulation models, implement changes, and optimize system performance based on production requirements.
• Present simulation results, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure simulations accurately reflect real-world processes.
• Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities through detailed simulation analysis.
• Maintain documentation of simulation models, assumptions, and results to ensure consistency and traceability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing simulation, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Must have recent hands-on experience (within the last 3 years) using PlantSim or Simul8 for developing and modifying simulation models.
• Proven experience conducting simulations, enhancing existing models, and presenting results and recommendations to stakeholders.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour
