Territory Sales Representative

Position Summary: ITW Construction - Channel Sales is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to join our sales team. The Sales Representative develops, maintains, and expands customer relationships within an assigned territory and is responsible for achieving sales quotas and profitability objectives. The Sales Representative represents the ITW Power Nailing, Structural Fastening, and Mechanical Fastening brands to assigned customers and drives results through the development and implementation of territory and key account plans to support national and regional sales initiatives. This role may be based in the Quad Cities (IA/IL) or Madison, WI. ITW Residential Construction offers a broad range of professional grade anchoring tools and fasteners for numerous construction applications. Our products include wood to wood fastening systems (Paslode), structural wood fasteners (GRK Fasteners), concrete anchoring systems (Tapcon, Red Head, Ramset), underlayment screws (Rock-On, Backer-On), self-drilling screws (Teks) and drywall anchoring systems (E-Z Anchor). Core Responsibilities Primarily focus on high potential lumberyard, hardware and distribution partners in the territory and establish relationships with decision makers by calling at headquarters as well as individual locations, generating a top-down and bottom-up sales approach. Grow sales with key lumberyards in territory through store training, demos, shelf management, and demand creation with key end users. Conduct onsite sales demonstrations with end-users showcasing ITW product value proposition. Work with the sales manager to build relationships and conduct quarterly business reviews with distributor partners in territory to drive adoption of programs and promotions to increase sales. Assist in developing ongoing market and competitive analysis (pricing, promotions, new products, new applications, etc.) of the territory by obtaining intelligence through multiple sources and participating in the development of tactical and strategic territory plans. Analyze territory customers and sales insights to create demand and pull-through of ITW products. Actively work to enhance territory margin and market share by aggressive marketing to distributors, dealers, and key end users and implementation of regional/national account initiatives. Maintain an active pipeline of new and existing customers and opportunities using Salesforce.com. Perform all other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. 3+ years of field sales experience. Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and maintain a clean driving record. Travel required; local and up to 50% overnight (company lease vehicle provided). Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Work Environment The work environment includes a variety of locations such as home office, job sites, lumberyards, and distributor locations. These environments are not controlled by ITW. Physical Demands Perform duties that require sitting, standing, talking, hearing, reaching with hands and arms, and walking. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., walk and stand for long periods at customer events, trade shows, and job site locations. Position requires approximately 50% travel and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Compensation Information Annual base salary range: $80,000 - $105,000 plus up to $20,000 sales incentive bonus.
