Role Overview

As a Nurse Technician, you will perform specific nursing functions aligned with your current education and verified competencies. Your responsibilities include assisting with medication administration (excluding chemotherapy, IV medications, and scheduled drugs), monitoring patient responses, and supporting the nursing team in delivering compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to scope of practice and facility standards under RN supervision.
• Administer medications safely following the 8 rights of medication administration.
• Observe and report patient conditions and side effects promptly.
• Assist with patient positioning, hygiene, feeding, and transfers.
• Support rehabilitative programs and ensure patient safety and dignity.
• Document care accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and assist with timely preparation for treatments and procedures.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be currently enrolled in a nursing program approved by the relevant commission or a recent graduate within the last 30 days.

Experience and Skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism.
• Competent in documentation and use of medical devices.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing demands with a positive attitude.
