Materials Planner
Location: Detroit, MI OR Phoenix AZ (Onsite)
Job type: Fulltime only
Technical/Functional Skills: Supply Chain Materials Planning, Clear to Build, Materials Program Management
Top Daily Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing build plan against inventory and supply chain data to determine demand for material replenishment
- Obtain quotes from suppliers and submit Purchase Orders
- Manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive ahead of requirement date
- Manage the Clear to Build at the OEM
- Track and mitigate Excess and Obsolescence
Overall Responsibilities
- Create and manage the Clear to Build for internal and external manufacturing of complex self-driving-systems modules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the Top Level Assemblies forecast and component lead-times
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure demand for materials is met
- Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
- Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on production schedule
- Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
- Consolidate the demand from multiple sources and own the MPS (Master Production Schedule)
