Material HandlerJoin a busy, growing manufacturing team as a Material Handler on 1st shift, where you will safely operate stand-up forklifts, move materials throughout a clean, climate-controlled facility, and support production by ensuring accurate picking, inventory movement, and shipping and receiving activities.ResponsibilitiesOperate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the manufacturing facility.Pick orders accurately, including both large and small materials, to support production and shipping schedules.Load, unload, and stage materials in designated areas to maintain an organized and efficient workflow.Support material handling processes by transferring raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods between departments.Use material handling systems and, when applicable, ERP or warehouse management systems to track inventory and material movements.Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including checking in materials, preparing outgoing shipments, and verifying documentation.Maintain accurate inventory counts by properly labeling, storing, and recording materials.Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating equipment and moving materials.Help keep the production and warehouse areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards.Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure materials are available where and when they are needed.Essential SkillsAt least 2 years of experience operating a stand-up forklift in a professional setting.Experience in a material handling role within a manufacturing facility.Hands-on experience picking orders and moving both large and small materials around a facility.Familiarity with material handling systems and basic inventory processes.Exposure to ERP or warehouse management systems for tracking materials and inventory.Experience supporting shipping and receiving functions in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Ability to work 1st shift hours and overtime as needed.Commitment to working safely and following established procedures in a manufacturing environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications2+ years of experience within shipping and receiving (nice to have).Ability to utilize warehouse management systems for inventory control and material tracking.Comfort working in a fast-paced environment driven by high production demand.Strong attention to detail when handling, labeling, and documenting materials.Ability to work collaboratively with production, logistics, and other facility teams.Why Work Here?You will join a stable organization experiencing strong growth, driven by multiple new long-term projects and a booming business pipeline. The environment supports both production and technical roles, with organized material flow and modern equipment. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with overtime often available from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM on weekdays and 6:30 AM to 1:30 PM on Saturdays. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and efficient operations, creating a comfortable and professional setting for material handling work.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
