Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse OpportunityInova Alexandria Hospital is looking for an experienced Perianesthesia (PACU) Nurse. Inova's Perianesthesia RNs work pre and post op; Phase 1 and 2. This is a PRN (as needed) position to cover shifts 6:00a-10:30p. Position requires a minimum of 4 X 10 hours shift within 6 weeks period and 2 on-call shifts in 6 weeks period and includes holiday on call rotation.Inova Alexandria Hospital is a 318-bed community hospital that offers a full range of healthcare services and has received national recognition for healthcare excellence. Comprehensive range of surgical specialties to include, orthopedics-total joints, sports medicine, spine, General Surgery, ENT, gynecology, urology, plastics, vascular, neurosurgery, podiatry, and maxillofacial.RN PACU QualificationsOne year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience is required.Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required at hire; ACLS and PALS must be completed in the first 90 days.RN PACU PRN Preferred QualificationsTwo plus years of PACU experience preferred, with experience in PreOp, Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery.For internal use only: #LI-KA1 IND1
