CNC EDM Machinists – Hiring Immediately
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC EDM Machinist to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of CNC EDMs, ensuring machines are properly tooled and maintained, and occasionally supporting grind operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate miscellaneous CNC EDM machines including sinker, wire, and poppers .
- Quality Inspection: Machine and test parts according to engineering standards. Perform visual and blueprint-based inspections to ensure parts are free of burrs or damage.
- Documentation & Tracking: Maintain proper part identification per planning specs and keep highly accurate, reliable manufacturing records.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate change-of-shift requirements clearly to incoming team members to ensure smooth handoffs.
- Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine machine maintenance (TPM), adhere to all safety and quality rules, and maintain a clean, organized 6S work area .
- Workflow Management: Maintain a continuous flow of materials and parts through the production cell.
Job Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience working with Wire or Sinker EDMs.
- Skills: GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, planning, and manufacturing specifications.
- Control Systems: Familiarity with Siemens CNC controls is a major plus.
- Work Style: Ability to multitask, collaborate effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
