• Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 AM - 07:30 PM)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in geriatric psychiatric care. The RN will be responsible for the management of a behavioral health unit, providing comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medication management and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress and interventions.
• Utilize milieu management techniques to create a therapeutic environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact nursing license at the time of application.
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent behavioral health experience in a short-term acute care hospital.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• One recent reference from a supervisor, manager, or director in the specialty is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Compliance with COVID-19 and influenza vaccination mandates is required, with limited exemptions.
• Background checks must be acceptable and free from any open cases.
• Candidates must complete necessary screenings and assessments prior to orientation.
• All candidates must be nicotine-free, except for specified exemptions.
