Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This is a night position with 13-week contract duration. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering superior care using advanced respiratory care techniques.
Responsibilities
- Establish patient ventilator settings based on metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships.
- Maintain knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and their implications in life-threatening situations.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically Meditech, to document patient care and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care.
- Valid New York State license as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
Location
This position is available at various locations within a 100-mile radius.
Shift Details
Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM.
