Client Relationship Consultant 3 (Banker) - Fountain Square - Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers through multiple channels including in‑person, by appointment, and virtually. They provide counsel, adapt a digital‑first mindset, and maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services. Key responsibilities include: Assessing and attending to customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information. Demonstrating and educating clients on available deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions based on each customer’s unique goals and needs. Building and fostering relationships through proactive outreach and follow‑up, asking questions and learning about financial needs and banking channel preferences. Opening new consumer and business accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications. Providing a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions. Leveraging available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience and serve clients with operational excellence and accuracy. Developing collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients. All activities must conform to a digital‑first mindset and bank policies, procedures, and support systems. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Typically a minimum of four to five years of job‑related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training. Preferred Skills & Experience Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow‑up. Effective engagement and communication with clients. Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems. Comprehensive knowledge of all retail products and services. Proven customer service and interpersonal skills. Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions. Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self‑service technologies. Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital‑first mindset. Advanced proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customers’ needs both reactively and proactively. Experience in the financial services industry preferred. Licensing & Compliance Requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and RegulationZ. The registration process includes a criminal background and credit check. Failure to meet or maintain NMLS registration requirements may result in a rescission of the offer or termination of employment. Location Expectation This role requires working from a U.S.Bank location for all scheduled work days.
