Description

• Evaluate patients in various settings, whether inpatient or outpatient, and craft customized treatment plans.
• Administer physical therapy treatments focusing on mobility, strength, balance, and functional outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic objectives, discharge planning strategies, and home exercise regimens.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress meticulously according to facility and regulatory standards.
• Engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive patient care.

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Specialized certifications (for example, in neurology or geriatrics) are beneficial, but not mandatory.

Skills

• Prior experience is strongly preferred.
