Job Summary:
The assignment is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) located in El Paso, Texas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. This role involves working in a busy cardiovascular services department equipped with the latest technology to perform various procedures including catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, electrophysiology, TAVR, and device placements.

Job Details:

• Location: El Paso, Texas
• Shift: Days; 0630-1530
• Hours: 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 07/06/2026
• Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• Experience: Cath Lab experience is required; no minimum years of experience specified
• Call Requirements: Yes; on-call for emergent cases, evenly distributed among staff RN and Cardiovascular Technician (CVT)
• Type of unit: Cardiovascular Services Cath Lab with 3 operating rooms, including 2 EP compatible rooms
• Patient Ratio: Not specified
• Equipment: Equipped for advanced cardiovascular procedures including PCI, EP, TAVR, and device implantation (PPM, ICD, Impella)
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification or Cardiovascular Nurse certification are considered first
• Typical Procedures: Cardiac catheterizations, PCI, electrophysiology (e.g., atrial fibrillation ablation), Watchman devices, TAVR, INARI, and various cardiac devices
• Personality Fit: Team-oriented, hardworking, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Dress Code: Scrubs in royal blue or black are acceptable; inappropriate attire is not permitted.
• Additional Information: The unit boasts high procedural volume with excellent outcomes, including low PCI mortality rates, and is recognized for its technological advancements and experienced staff.
