Home Equity Loan Processor (Contract Opportunity)Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)Location: On-SiteDuration: Contract through the end of the year, with potential extension or conversion based on business needs and available openings.Are you an experienced loan processor looking to join a collaborative lending team? We are seeking a Home Equity Loan Processor to support the full lifecycle of home equity loans, from application through closing. This role offers an opportunity to work in a customer-focused environment where teamwork, service excellence, and attention to detail are highly valued.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess home equity loans from application through closing.Manage a pipeline of approximately 25-30 loan files once fully trained.Review and verify borrower income documentation, including pay stubs and other supporting documents.Order appraisals when required.Order flood certifications.Gather and verify payoff information.Review mortgagee clauses and supporting loan documentation.Prepare complete loan files for underwriting review.Coordinate and arrange loan closings.Maintain consistent communication with borrowers throughout the lending process.Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient loan processing and pipeline management.Required QualificationsMust-Have ExperienceMinimum 1-2 years of full-cycle Mortgage Processing or Home Equity Processing experience.Experience processing loans from application through closing.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent customer service and communication abilities.Comfortable maintaining frequent borrower contact throughout the loan process.Willingness to learn and adapt within a manual processing environment.Strong team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist coworkers as needed.Preferred QualificationsDirect or indirect lending experienceBanking or credit union experienceExperience with loan origination or servicing platforms such as:SymitarEncompassWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:Customer-focused and enjoys guiding borrowers through the lending process.A strong team player who prioritizes collaboration.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple files.Reliable, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.Willing to support teammates to ensure overall department success.Why Join Us?Exceptional CultureJoin a team that values collaboration, employee development, and outstanding service.
