About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Bone Marrow Transplant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in Bone Marrow Transplant or Hematology. Chemotherapy administration experience is required. License: Current Registered Nurse license. Certifications: AHA BLS certification. ONC certification. Must-Have: Willingness to float between similar units as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working in environments with flexible staffing ratios. Ability to handle a notable patient care load. Description: The position requires caring for a diverse patient population with blood cancers. Patients may be receiving chemotherapy, biotherapies, and cellular therapies, including stem cell transplants. Nurse-to-patient ratios may vary based on staffing needs. The unit comprises a 36-bed capacity, with plans for expansion. Candidates should be proficient in administering chemotherapy and managing central lines. Experience in caring for patients undergoing complex treatment protocols is essential. Additional responsibilities include monitoring for complications and providing education to patients and families. Candidates with less experience may be considered if they meet other requirements. Weekend work is part of the scheduler's requirements based on unit needs. Patience and effective communication skills are vital for this role.
