Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

To receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license.

Required Credentials: - Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. - Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; proctored, minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. - Ascension Medical Surgical Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests: - Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details: - Neurology/stroke team on a designated stroke unit; primarily stroke patients with some general med-surg patients. - Adult population: young adult through late adult (18 - 60+). - Team-based staffing includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and nurse interns; an RN assumes full responsibility for patients on each team.

Floating Requirements: - Travelers may be asked to float to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius of their original assignment. Floating will be based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Travelers will always be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is required.
