Our client, an established real estate firm, is seeking Asset Manager. In this role, you'll oversee a portfolio, optimizing financial and operational performance for strong returns. Responsibilities:

• Implement a hands-on asset management strategy to maximize revenue, control expenses, and meet capital expenditure targets for each asset in your assigned portfolio.
• Exercise critical and strategic thinking to inform key decision-making processes.
• Oversee all aspects of renovation projects, collaborating closely with design and construction teams.
• Develop comprehensive business plans and strategies to maximize the long-term value of properties.
• Prepare budgets, forecast income and expenses, assess capital requirements, and conduct risk-return analysis.
• Monitor and report on asset performance, comparing results against budget and various business plan milestones.
• Manage cash flow, including investor distributions.
• Provide clear and effective guidance to third-party property management firms.
• Regularly visit properties, tour competing projects, and stay updated on local market dynamics.
• Become a market expert in multiple geographical areas and actively represent the company within the marketplace.
• Track demographic trends, job growth, economic drivers, supply, and other market forces.
• Collaborate with the Investor Relations & Capital Markets department to address investor and lender inquiries, conduct market tours, and communicate significant updates.
• Work closely with internal acquisitions teams on potential new acquisitions, including due diligence, underwriting, closing, budgeting, and business plan development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years of prior experience with real estate asset management or operations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel to assigned properties 1x/month
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Multi-family real estate experience
• Ability to work successfully with a range of internal individuals as well as with external individuals (property managers, consultants and other third parties)
• Ability to process work quickly accurately and with changing priorities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
